The Future is Yours
Whether you're voting for the first time or just starting to pay attention to local issues, NYC Votes offers different ways for young people to get involved, build leadership skills, and make an impact on their communities.
Civics Week 2026
We're excited to join local students and educators across the city for Civics Week (March 9-13, 2026) to help young New Yorkers learn about local government, understand how elections work, and discover how to get involved.
Join sessions in-person across all five boroughs and online to explore how city government operates, learn about voter registration, and discover how youth can make real change. All sessions are listed below.
Youth Ambassadors
If you’re 14–18, the NYC Votes Youth Ambassador Program is your chance to get involved in local elections and help other young people vote. Led by young people, for young people.
Applications for 2026 are now closed.
